This Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller enables a solar panel array to achieve its highest possible performance. It can be used with battery systems from 12 to 60V DC, and solar panel arrays with open circuit voltages of up to 140V, to give up to 60A charging currents.
Using solar panel arrays with several panels in series increases the voltage and the power without increasing the charging current, which allows you to use thinner wires - a significant cost saving when you are planning a large system.
Voltage setpoints on the MX60 are fully adjustable, allowing use with virtually any battery type, chemistry and charging profile. The unit has built in data-logging capabilities, and it includes an LCD digital backlit display for programming and monitoring of system operation.
The MX60 is a rugged machine, rated to operate from -40 to +60 degrees C. The terminals for the battery output take up to 35 sq mm cables. These aren't included, but we can make up suitable cables to order, fitted with an appropriate fuse. Please contact us with your requirements and we'll be happy to quote.
